A MATTER OF INCONVENIENCE

PLEASE NOTE: Monday, November 14th-Thursday, November 17th the City of Boulder will be re-doing our sidewalk and it i going to be a huge, noisy mess, but we will still be open during this time. Closed Wednesday and Thursday due to Nearby Fire/Power Outage

UPDATE: We will be closed tomorrow (Thursday) as we still do not have electricity. I am sorry to all the biscuit lovers and Thursday cupcake people. If all goes well we might be able to open on Friday. Email us with questions: info@teeandcakes.com. If you have a special order we will be in touch with you first thing Thursday a.m.

Tee & Cakes is closed for the rest of the day (Wednesday) due to a fire that happened at a nearby business on our block. We have been evacuated and as of 4:30 on Wednesday have no info as to when we can get back into the shop and make the cake magic happen again. Unfortunately, it is not looking good for the cheddar biscuits tomorrow. We are very thankful for the kick-ass local fire departments who contained the fire without having it spread. They did an amazing job containing this difficult building fire.

At this point we aren’t allowed to get into the shop and it could be as late as tomorrow. In that case we will close tomorrow as well. We appreciate your understanding and are sorry for the inconvenience. Check our Twitter and Facebook for closure/reopening updates.

Coloring Contest Winner

This year at the Munchkin Masquerade, along with handing out candy and whatnot, we gave kids blank canvases, so to speak. The winner would get a dozen cupcakes and a box of Tee & Cakes goodies, such as our travel mugs and screen-printed wares.

THE WINNER: Dozen Cupcakes and a box of Tee & Cakes Goodies (Travel Mug, Scarf, Stickers)

Along with the one other runner up were two sisters who submitted some awesomely creative pieces. This one being scented marker coloring efforts. Smelling like grape and other marker fruits this one was creative and worth an honorable mention.

This one, along with the scented one, from a pair of sisters are just letting their creativity flow. What this one lacked in scented markers made up for in total canvas coverage. And for that deserves an honorable mention.

All That Remained…

Just twelve hours after Caketöberfest, this is the scene we are left with in attempts to put the shop back together after a great celebration of our 3rd year in business. Plenty more event photos to come. Also, if you notice one thing that is missing from the photo (other than tables and chairs) I’ll give you a free cupcake. Email us your answer.

Tee & Cakes will be closed Tuesday June 15. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. We had a pipe burst in our basement and we will be making repairs to get us back us up to speed. Travel Mug Tuesday folks will be able to get their free drip on Wednesday instead.

Happy National Donut Day!

National Donut Day is on the first Friday of june each year (TODAY!) and follows on the Donut Day event created by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.^[1] The holiday celebrates the doughnut (a.k.a “donut”) — an edible, ring-shaped piece of dough which is deep-fried and sweetened.

We will have our Friday donuts as usual, but I suspect they will go a bit faster than usual…
