A Little Bit About Tee & Cakes

Tee & Cakes is a Boulder-based cupcake bakery, wedding and custom cake shop, coffee & espresso stop and retail apparel store. Run by pastry chef Kim Boos and graphic designer Brian Wood, Tee & Cakes is a lifestyle-based shop. More and more do you find it difficult to not only find a small independently run shop, but one with the quality and variety that Tee & Cakes provides.

Tee & Cakes is essentially a mom and pop shop. We are locally owned and operated. And by that, Kim and Brian are the folks who concepted the Tee & Cakes business model and run the day to day operations of the shop, literally at the shop. We are small operation with a huge passion for everything we do at Tee & Cakes. From wedding cakes to lattes, we care alot.

Every day you can expect a wide variety of fresh-baked cupcakes, with usually 8-12 flavors to choose from. We create custom wedding and special event cakes to order from scratch using quality ingredients. Additionally we have created a menu of in-house pastries, sling quality coffee and espresso beverages, as well as design and print our own line of apparel and merchandise.

Our bakery department is run by our Head Pastry Chef, Kim Boos, formerly of Haute Cakes & Blue Fine Pastries. Boos, who has over a decade of pastry chef experience, has created a dynamic menu for Tee & Cakes. Some things you'll find on a regular basis: cupcakes, brownies, cookies, croissants, bagels, biscuits, scones, tea breads, and muffins. Our Chef is always keepin it fresh with baked good such as: seasonal pies, cake pops, specialty cupcake flavors.

A full coffee and espresso bar is housed in the bakery and features Novo Coffee – an artisan coffee roaster based in Denver dedictated to small-batch, quality roasts. The barista staff is passionate and trained to create great drinks. We also carry local, organic tea and chai.

The retail apparel line features Side B Apparel, a Tee & Cakes based apparel line that features original, short run designs that are printed on quality garments and vintage goods. The prints are limited runs and often one of a kinds. The Side B Apparel line has men's and women's hoodies, tanks, t-shirts, scarves. Kid's hoodies and onsies are also available.

Tee & Cakes also houses Handlebar Press in addition to the creative options found at Tee & Cakes. Handlebar Press is a screen printing studio, focused on printing stationary, rock posters for local and touring bands, greeting cards and wedding invitations.
